Holiday Inn Express Manchester - East by IHG

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean. And the breakfast set us up for the day . Plenty of choice and tasty. Good system for car parking with lots of spaces available. The only downside was other guests being noisy.... children being allowed to run down the corridors and not respecting that others might be sleeping. Hopefully a one off.

Very enjoyable stay here. Had everything we needed. Took one star off location as it was a bit off the excellent tram network but we could probably have figured out alternative public transport to get there, other than taxis, if we'd had more time.

Wonderful stay, great location and extremely friendly and efficient staff. I was delighted to be able to have my elderly dog with me because it is such a worry leaving him in kennels at his age - and I miss him when I'm away The doggie welcome pack was such a nice touch. My room was very comfortable and, thankfully, on the ground floor, because I do suffer from arthritis and asthma. I suspect the ground-floor rooms to the rear of the propery, are designated for dog owners. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate and is pretty good. If I have niggles, they are small: • I would have preferred more light in my room - an overhead light would be a huge immprovement. • Evening choice of food is very limited and very expensive. • Drinks available at the bar are very limited and very expensive - £10 for a 'large' glass of wine!!! • Get down early for breakfast if you enjoy orange juice - once it's gone, you won't get any more!!

Nice hotel with lovely staff. Decent rooms, lovely breakfast. Everything clean and in order. Location isnt too bad, if you dont drive then the buses to the city centre are round the corner on Reddish lane, I believe the 201? Took me to picadilly gardens within 20 minutes.

Great hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, very speedy. Easy checkin and checkout. Rooms are clean with kettle for tea and coffee. Offers you extra toiletries if forgotten / needed which is a nice gesture. Breakfast is great, so many options to choose from. Only knock back is the lift seems on its last legs. Very jumpy, staggers down when you step into it, opens whilst moving between floors. The hallways also have a musty smell to them but that happens in a lot of chain hotels. Overall great, would stay again... But maybe take the stairs.

For the price and location, this hotel is amazing. Lost one star as the receptionist knocked on our door at 11pm blaming us for making noise, when in fact it was another family in a different room making noise!!! I gave her a piece of my mind in a respectful kind manner. She actually disturbed us. Moral of the story, train your staff to do your investigation first, before pouncing on an innocent customer. Tbf i feel i have been very nice with the 4 stars, probably because apart from this 'rude' staff memeber, the rest of the experiance was almost perfect. Thank you

The Holiday Inn Express Manchester East served its purpose well for our trip, especially for accessing Co-op Live! Location & Convenience: It's well-positioned, about 3.3 miles from Co-op Live, and a quick 4.3-mile drive from the City Centre. A huge plus for quick/late-night meals is the convenience of having a McDonald's right on the same road, about 450 feet away, and it's 24 hours. (I personally needed a break from McDonald's on this trip, but it's a great option for others!) Staff & Service (The Highlight!): The standout feature of this hotel is the staff. They were all very nice, kind, and incredibly welcoming, and the easy check-out process was very pleasant. If I return to Manchester, I would definitely book here again based on the exceptional service alone. The Room: The room was clean and served as a functional place to lay our heads. However, the hotel is definitely due for a massive update to bring it into 2025 (it feels like the last refresh was around 2013). The sofa had noticeable stains, the bedding was basic and not very comfortable (just a basic sheet), and the TV was old, with lines across the screen and only basic, outdated channels. While happy to just pass through, a modernization would greatly improve the comfort level. Amenities: The complimentary breakfast is sufficient; it certainly works to fill up the machine of the body, but unfortunately, it was lacking in flavor. The best part of the whole breakfast selection, however, was definitely the sausages. Overall, a great value and a reliable choice supported by wonderful staff, but be prepared for dated rooms and a basic breakfast.

Very friendly, clean rooms, good TV channel selection. Cooked breakfast was decent. Only slight thing was the lack of an exit to the car park from the other side of the hotel which meant going back via reception, but I'm really being picky there. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Would absolutely recommend if you need to be in the area.
